I saw some outstanding large fowl Barred Rocks this weekend. They came from Marvin Stukel in Cochise Arizona. These birds have been line breed for 30 years by Marvin and they are from the line that Paul Hardy use to have Glen Hogleson who was a great breeder of large fowl Rocks before he died. I promise you if you can get some started chicks from Marvin or eggs or what ever you can get from him you will have a head start on large fowl Barreds. Also, I have heard from Frank Reese from Kansas of Good Shepard Ranch. He sent me pictures of his large fowl Barred Rocks and they are something to have as well. It would be worth your while to contact him or even drive 400 miles to his home to get two trios of his birds. Hope this helps you folks that want Barred Rock large fowl good true to breed stock. There out there any other tips on other color patterns let me know. Bob Blosl Sec.
