Can anyone help me out? Looking for the genotype of dark brown - as in Dark Brown Leghorns. To be more specific, I know they are based on eb. And Jeffrey proposed they also need Mahogony. But what else? Does anyone have a more complete description?

I don't have the detailed genetics, but I do have a list of segregating colors that came out of the brown leghorn X Silver Laced Wyandotte cross. Quite a few of the birds I've been working with have dark brown combined with melanotic plus the mahogany red genes that show up on wings and part of the back. I would describe these birds as dark brown on black. It appears to be capable of stabilizing so I suspect the genes are a combination of eb + melanotic + mahogany + columbian. A few of these birds are homozygous for the pattern gene which gives a very pretty dark brown on black pattern effect.
Silver Laced Wyandotte crossed to blue egg laying Brown Leghorn to develop a blue egg laying Wyandotte.
